Video Production
Pre-Production Phase

Pre-production includes the initial meeting where overall ideas and concepts are gathered and understood. Brainstorming and the overall look and feel of the project are also conceived. The storyboard, the critical blueprint of the overall story is then derived by the DRDP team. The storyboard usually consists of several pages of rough sketches, a detailed description of each scene along with any dialogue used. This process details what exactly needs to be produced and after any revisions and final approval by the customer, the production phase begins.

Production Phase

The production phase commences with the gathering and listing of any assets needed for the project. This includes making an inventory of any 3D models of characters, environments, buildings/structures, etc. specific to the project. Models not already available in our model databases are then created.

Next, the scene development stage begins by gathering all the assets, characters and environments together onto a virtual stage. Camera movements are then determined, realistic lighting to match the scene is established and the overall look is completed. The rendering process then begins and each scene is sent to our render farm. During the rendering stage frames are checked for errors and continuity. By request, at any time during this phase, updates can be sent to the customer for approval and any revisions can be made.

Post-Production Phase

The post-production phase gathers all the completed rendered images, dialogue, ambient sound effects, etc. into a non-linear editing suite for final editing. Any color correction and post effects may be added at this time. The project, once compiled into the client’s desired digital format, is sent to the customer for approval. Any revisions required by the customer will also be performed at this time. Upon final approval, all data from the project is archived and stored for easy access and future updating.
